I've always had an artistic/creative side, but never landed on an outlet I felt completely connected to. That is until about 10 years ago when my husband bought me my first 'big girl' camera...a Canon 35mm beauty! Of course, it was a film camera, so my trials and errors came at quite a price! About 5 years ago, we saw the writing on the wall with regards to film development disappearing, and we had to choose to either install a darkroom in our home, or move to the digital age.
We decided digital was the way to go, and again my husband gifted me with a lovely Canon EOS Rebel t3i. Over the past few years, I've taken a few classes and continue to study my craft. I rarely go anywhere without my camera now, constantly in search of capturing God's beauty in everyday places and faces. I am drawn to nature, landscape, structure, pattern, architecture, and Americana (think flowers, forests, fences, and all that might be in or around them). I look forward to learning more and getting outside my comfort zone with new and different techniques and subjects. I hope you enjoy my ever-changing gallery!
