Well, here goes nothing! The 'blogosphere' has another new member...another woman who claims to have a unique perspective others might be interested in reading about/listening to/sharing similar stories with. Truth is, as wives, mothers, and career-women constantly juggling the minutiae of everyday life, we are a 'dime a dozen'. I don't think I have too many exceptional ideas that are all my own. The way I think and look at the world is not that uncommon or extraordinary. My beliefs and principles are based on tried and true concepts dating back to the beginning of time as we know it.
What I DO have, is life experience solely examined, observed, and pondered through a lens of my own creation. I am in the process of raising two boys (young men, really), supporting a devoted husband whose zeal for extreme long-distance running is nearly insatiable, finding a balance while taking on more responsibilities in my career, feeding my passions for photography and baking, and trying to maintain our "household" and all that entails!
While I dislike using labels to define who I "am" or what I "do", as a tool for simplifying my POV (point of view), I am a...Christian, middle-aged woman raised in various parts of the U.S., but currently living in and calling Michigan "home". I am a wife (of 22 years), working mother to two boys (ages 23 and 19), daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend. I do not affiliate myself with any 'organized' political party, though my general beliefs and opinions tend to support conservative views and overall common sense. Our family attends church, prays together, and understands the importance of treating others with respect and compassion. I am an amateur photographer, published poet, avid camping enthusiast, and a brain aneurysm survivor. I enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, trip planning, traveling, cooking, baking, and writing.
I expect much of this blog to be about everyday events (adventures and mis-adventures), random thoughts, photographic journeys and the tips and tricks that have helped me get this far. I look forward to your comments, suggestions, and shared insight!
Much love and blessings, Kaytee
